Today's Tip: Re-discover the Library
For those of you who don't know what a TAT (Thematic Apperception Test) test is, it is a
test that assesses visual-motor integration by showing images intended to stimulate emotion
or even memories. Now that you've just passed our PSYCH 101 course, let's take the test.
Look at this image and think about if it brings back any memories:
Anyway, bringing up Book It was in hopes that it would bring back the same memories in
you that it did in me. The tip for today is to re-discover the library. Your local library
offers books, media, and Internet services all at no cost to you. If you are a reader, why
do you insist on buying your books new at a major retailer? You can most likely get that
same book from your library and take it out for 3 weeks, all at no cost to you. If your
library doesn't have the book, you can even request to be contacted the next time it comes
in. Then your library will contact you when it is returned. Talk about convenient!
Your library probably even carries movies, a fact of which many people are not aware.
Much like books, you can request your library to hold a movie for you and then you can
basically have a free seven-day rental!
Has it been awhile since you've been to the library? Well unlike the days of yesterday,
where it took a pizza to inspire you to read, maybe it's time to re-discover your library and
find the gems that it holds in store for you! After all, it is a public service! Use it to your
advantage! That's what it's there for!
Have you downloaded the free budget yet? Our free budget spreadsheet is updated for
2008 and features a monthly account tracker and budget form!

Book It! is a program intended to motivate
young students to read. I don't know about you,
but to me, Book It was the best! Not only was I
inspired to read, but who didn't like the pizza
reward upon completion of the program? Talk
about a great deal!
