Today's Tip: Order Water at a Restaurant
Continuing our weekly theme of saving money at restaurants, today's tip is to order water
when you go to a restaurant. It's simply a crime that the cost of a soda at a restaurant is
now pressing the $3 range. Don't forget that when you pay that price, there is also tax on
the water, and then the 15% tip that goes on top of it.
There are foods that just go better with a soda. For me, it's just not right to eat pizza
without a Coke or Pepsi. But if you are at a pizzeria with your family of four, you can save
between $7 and $10 if your family were to order water as opposed to soda!
Another tip that I use is that when I just can't resist having a soda with dinner, my wife and
I will order one water and one soda. Of course, this only works for couples, but there are
always ways to save a dollar.
